Doug Lenberg

I have been in the wholesale plumbing, heating and A/C business since 1979. I started with a small regional wholesaler in Farmington,N.M. Eventually managing one of there supply houses in Santa Fe N.M. It was when in Santa Fe that I first started working with New Mexico State Code Officials. My first foray into the world of regulators was with a product called Engel Method Cross-linked Polyethylene Piping. I was successful in getting the State of New Mexico to approve this material for radiant heating applications in 1991.

In 1994, I was successful in getting the State of New Mexico to accept this same piping material for underground water service lines and for Potable drinking water applications.

In 1994 I went to work for a major international Wholesaler in their Santa Fe New Mexico office.. Utilizing their vast resources,I was able to work successfully with a number of different States and Municpalities in code approvals for this same pex-a piping material. Texas,Nevada,Colorado and Utah are some of those States.

In 1995,I worked with the State of New Mexico Fire Marshalls office to gain acceptance of this material for plumbing based fire protection systems. At about the same time I met Franz Haase. Franz had patented a system that utilized the plumbing systems potential for fire suppression. It was a natural for Franz and I to put our two items together. Since that time we have collaborated on many State and Municipalities Code approval for this system.

We recently formed RGBS to further the Water and Energy Concepts Emplementation in todays regulatory environment. RGBS applied for and was granted a Small Business grant from Sandia National Laboratory for the express purpose of studying these technologies and evaluating them. A copy of the exact study can be found on our web-site. This research home being built now in Farmington New Mexico has all of these technologies installed and many more. Please feel free to follow the construction of this home online.
